Finca La Marquesa was born with the dream of exporting Ecuadorian coffee to the whole world in 2015, before that Edilberto León León, Ximena León’s father (CEO LA MARQUESA), worked in coffee for more than 60 years, being one of the largest green coffee marketers in the south of Ecuador, Ximena, being the first daughter of Edilberto and Lucrecia, grew up with that passion and determination to be able to work in coffee, in 2015 they heard about specialty coffee and this was gaining strength in Ecuador so they traveled to Pichincha where they met Olger and his wife who told them about BOURBON SIDRA and TYPICA MEJORADO which were going to change the history of Ecuador, they got excited, so they prepared their farm in the Province of Loja in the area of San Pedro de Vilcabamba to plant 3 hectares of coffee which are maintained to this day, it has been a long and complicated road these years trying to produce high quality coffees.
