Ethiopia Guji Dasaya Natural
Region: Guji, Oromia
Altitude: 2,200 masl
Plant Varietal: Heirloom
Tasting Notes: Violet, Kyoho Grape, Blueberry
The original name of Dasaya in Ethiopia is Dawala Samayawi, which means purple wind chimes! True to its name, the bean is constantly reminiscent of purple, blue fruit, filled with pink-purple sweet bubbles. The sweet aroma of blueberries, grapes and other fruits, the floral aroma of violets, the tropical fruit flavors of hot sun treatment such as mango, passion fruit, etc. echo the enthusiastic purple flavor, and the end is lavender, bergamot, jasmine or oolong tea. As the support of its elegant skeleton, the clear floral notes bring out the clear coolness like wind chimes.
This batch was selected from a plant in Guji at an altitude of over 2,200 meters. The surrounding small farmers’ planting plots may even be as high as 2,400 meters. Due to the high altitude, the fruits mature relatively late and are now in their prime. In addition to the rich purple grape and blueberry flavors in the front part of this batch, the aftertaste fully displays the regional elegance of the ultra-high altitude microclimate and the varietal flavors of heirloom Ethiopian varieties.
