Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Reko Washed
Region: Kochere, Gedeb
Altitude: 1,950 – 2,050 masl
Plant Varietal: Heirloom
Tasting Notes: Floral, Orange, Earl Grey
High in the Reko mountain area of Yirgacheffe’s Kochere woreda (district), elevated above other nearby farms at heights between 1950 and 2150 M.A.S.L., farmers harvest coffee for processing the the nearby Aricha Washing Station. The varietals harvested are common to the region, a mixture of Kurume, local landraces, and disease-resistant JARC, but the unique micro climate and growing conditions give these their unique flavor profile.
